-a lovely 30th dinner-
jennifer and meredith made the most wonderful dinner last night for my 30th birthday. if there were ever a proper way to kick off such a momentous occasion - this is definately the way to go.
first - a coctail. then on to a tour of all the amazing and wonderful things they have done to the house. the kitchen, in the words of jennifer carman, is dreamy! followed by "a little something" that merdith just whipped up. the dinner was grand!! the pie... well - lets just say we had a strawberry pie and left none. but the best part, aside from my awesome new birthday mix, was just being around people that i know love me and support me through all my highs and lows!!!! i love you all so much. and thank you again for such a wonderful evening!!
ps - did i mention all the time spent striving for the perfect picture.
i will also note that the card is definately going on my fridge for anyone who needs a good laugh!

-the bug-

-Erika's baby shower-
i didn't take my camera home to mom's so i don't have that many pictures. but here are a few from erika's baby shower and then, of course, there are a few of my niece hanging out at her gigi's house. i think she and boomer had to take turn in the tent. i can't believe how big she's getting. i'm thinking it's about time for ashton to get a new baby brother or sister!!!! hey sally - get to it!

- FINALLY - movies in the park are back
starting wednesday they will be kicking off movies in the park with the showing of E.T. this is one of my favorite things the city does. just show up with plenty of bug spray, a blanket, maybe a few snacks and probably a cool beverage or two. here's the line up for this summer...

-the fence project part 2-
well - i stimulated the economy. and a HUGE THANKS to dt's dad!!!! he's was awesome. not to mention that he came equipped with his own auger and chainsaw. also - much thanks should also be said to dt, jess, becca, tara, sarah and amanda!!! we kept it to a one day project and still managed to make it out to the bar that night for drinks. seriously though - my friends kick so much ass. love you guys!!!
ps... i'm covered in poision ivy. i'm miserable and on my way to get a shot.
